The Town of Seekonk, MA Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Career Police Officer. Applicants must be full-time academy trained through the Massachusetts Police Training Committee. Out-of-state applicants who have completed a full-time police officer training academy may apply if their academy training is recognized by the Massachusetts Police Training Committee. Contact MPTC for eligibility requirements (www.mass.gov/mptc). Minimum requirements include the following: must be 21-years-old, possess a High School diploma (60 college credits from an accredited College/University or 2 years active duty in any Armed Services of the United States of America is preferred), be a United States citizen, possess a valid driver’s license. The Town of Seekonk offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $52,032 to $56,125. In addition, the town offers 75/25 Health Care, Police Educational Incentive Pay Program, 50/50 Altus dental, shift differentials, vacation and personal time along with employment at a new Public Safety Complex. Successful applicants must pass a physical and psychological examination, a thorough background investigation, and also successfully complete the state Physical Ability Test.
