TRASH DELAY DUE TO MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY
Due to the Memorial Day Holiday trash pick up will be delayed by one day, therefore, Monday's collection will be on Tuesday, Tuesday's on Wednesday, Wednesday's on Thursday, Thursday's on Friday and Friday's on Saturday.
REGARDING THE PAVING OF LINCOLN STREET (FROM COUNTY STREET TO TAUNTON AVENUE - RTE. 44)
The milling portion of the Lincoln Street Paving Project is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 27th and Thursday, May 28th and the paving portion of the project is scheduled for Thursday, May 28th and Friday, May 29th. Caution should be used when driving or walking in the roadway. It is important that you avoid street parking until this project is complete. Vehicles which interfere with the project will be removed.
Please understand that scheduling, unforeseen equipment breakdowns and weather may delay some or all of the work and it is diificult to notify you in advance of these delays.

YARD WASTE PICK-UP
CURBSIDE COLLECTION OF YARD WASTE WILL BEGIN ON MAY 4, 2015 AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MAY 29, 2015. Yard Waste is collected weekly on your regular trash day and
must be place in paper lawn/leaf bags (no plastic bags). Bundles of brush must be tied an cannot exceed 24 inches in length with a material diameter of 1-1/2 inches.
Any bag or bundle placed curbside is subject to a maximum weight limit of 30 pounds. A maximum of 25 bags or bundles will be picked up at one time.

ANNOUNCING CHANGES TO THE BULKY WASTE COLLECTION
Effective immediately Bulky Items (furniture, non-metal household items) will be collected on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, rather than weekly on your scheduled trash collection day. Stickers must be purchased by noon on the Tuesday prior to the collection date. Collection of appliances electronics, metal goods, tires and special items will remain the same and continue to be collected on the third Tuesday of each month. Stickers must be purchased by noon on the Friday prior to the collection date. ANNOUNCING THE NEW AUTOMATED TRASH COLLECTION PROGRAM
The Town of Seekonk is proud to announce the new Automated Trash Collection System. Each residence participating in the Towns' trash program received two carts, one for Single Stream Recycling and the other for BLUE BAGS which residents MUST CONTINUE TO USE. It is IMPORTANT to note that all blue bags MUST BE TIED before placing them in the cart. Each residence was provided with a trash collection informational flyer with all of the necessary information.

The Transfer Station is open its regular hours for dropping off yard waste and recyclables. There is no fee or permit required to drop off yard waste at the Transfer Station, however, a valid photo ID with a Seekonk address must be presented, no exceptions will be made The Transfer Station is located at 351 Fall River Avenue behind the American Legion Hall. Regular operating hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (closed from noon-12:30 for lunch)
The second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 8:00 a.m. to noon
ABSOLUTELY NO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE TRANSFER STATION!
