Curbside Trash & Recycling Pickup Services

Important Notice Regarding Recycling at the Transfer Station (TARF)

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Transfer Station is unable to accept recyclables until further notice. All recyclables need to be placed curbside for collection-and all materials must be in the rolling bin/carts to be picked up by the truck arm. If you have overage regularly and would like an additional bin/cart, you can request one via the form to the left. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Transfer Station remains open year round for drop off of yard waste (grass, leaves, twigs, small branches, etc.), regularly scheduled Bulky Waste Days, and for Second Saturdays special collections. 

Seekonk Automated Trash & Recycling Program PAYT (Pay As You Throw)

The Town of Seekonk is proud to offer automated weekly curbside trash & recycling pickup to residents, utilizing a Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) model to keep costs as low as possible. For more detail on the fluctuations of these costs, see the historical data snapshot here. All trash must be in Town Blue Bags, and tied. Non compliance of blue bags for trash will result in fines issued to the resident. See full fine schedule and further information on the trash program in the bylaws here.

Statewide Mattress Ban

Effective November 1, 2022

Massachusetts has banned the transport and disposal of mattresses and box springs to landfills. They must now be recycled. Due to the new law, we are now required to implement an effective process to recycle mattresses and box springs. As a result of the new law, mattresses and box springs will now be $65 for each piece for pickup. Mattresses and box springs will be collected curbside for recycling on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
