The Seekonk Police Department has served the community well from its inception in 1945 to the present day under the direction of nine police chiefs. The Police Department has remained on the cutting edge of technology with a radio dispatched patrol car from the basement of the Town Hall in 1948, to a present-day state of the art Public Safety Complex housing Police, Fire/EMS and Communications.
From a staff of one Police Chief and one Patrolman in 1945, today's Police Department boasts over 10 divisions that provide police services to the community. Our current facility provides an Emergency Operating Center (E.O.C.), training rooms, storage space and offices in sufficient numbers for the department, as it performs its daily operations.
The Seekonk Police Department is proud to be a leader among area departments in modern day investigatory skills including state of the art technical mobile electronics expertise. All divisions of The Seekonk Police Department remain vigilant today, serving the citizens and businesses of the Town of Seekonk by maintaining a high level of training, and education in all areas of Law Enforcement as well as a strong sense of Community Partnership.
